Since 2009, over 2,500 people have been introduced to nanotechnology through the International Institute for Nanotechnology’s (IIN) partnership with the Museum of Science and Industry (MSI) in Chicago.

Every year, the IIN partners with MSI on activities for NanoDays, an annual, nationwide nano education and outreach event sponsored by the National Science Foundation’s Nanoscale Informal Science and Education (NISE) Network.

On April 4, 2015, tabletop demonstrations illustrating nanotechnology concepts for the general public were manned by IIN graduate students.

This year, hundreds of children and adults visited the IIN NanoDays exhibit at MSI, and were introduced to nanotechnology concepts through age-appropriate demonstrations that were received with enthusiastic and inquisitive interest.
