James Hedrick, Mirkin Group alumnus and Azul 3D cofounder, named to Forbes 30 Under 30 2020, Manufacturing & Industry list

While working on his PhD at Northwestern University, chemical engineer James Hedrick and his professor Chad Mirkin developed a new 3D-printing technology called HARP (or high area rapid printing), a version of stereolithography that allows printing of larger parts in a 2.5-square-foot print bed without compromising speed. Azul 3D raised $3.7 million in funding and could reach $4 million in revenue in 2020.
